Tim Townsend

Reporter

Since 2004 I’ve been the religion reporter for the St. Louis Post-Dispatch. In 2005 I was the Templeton Religion Reporter of the Year, awarded by the Religion Newswriters Association for “excellence in enterprise reporting and versatility in the field of religion in the secular press.”

Before moving to St. Louis, I covered personal finance and consumer issues for The Wall Street Journal Sunday. My freelance writing has been published in The New York Times, Rolling Stone, The Chicago Tribune Sunday Magazine, The Boston Globe Sunday Magazine, the Columbia Journalism Review, The Village Voice, Golf World and Salon.com.
